Kayla Fletcher, a native of the Rochester, New York area, graduated from Hillsdale College in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Studies with minors in Music and Spanish. She began her career in education in 2014 in Savannah, Georgia at Savannah Classical Academy, which was founded as a Barney Charter School Initiative (BSCI) school affiliated with Hillsdale College, developing and cultivating campus culture. She worked as an upper school history teacher before transitioning to the local public school system in Savannah, Georgia as a middle school literature and history teacher.
After relocating to the Houston, Texas area, Mrs. Fletcher joined the ResponsiveEd network in the 2021-2022 school year, continuing to teach middle school literature. Since the 2022-2023 school year, she has worked specifically for the Founders Classical Academy brand of schools and, in addition to teaching, served as the Dean of Students before becoming an Assistant Headmaster.
Joining NEOCA in the spring of 2026 as the Headmaster, Mrs. Fletcher brings a strong and sincere desire to promote and share classical education with the community. Her primary focus is to strengthen and improve the hearts and minds of the students she serves.
